GoL Fight Night Championship-Friday January 20th, 9PM EST @ the GoL Felucca Tower. Come see the exciting conclusion to our first ever Fight Night Championships, which has thus far pitted past champions of our past fight nights against each other.
Tonight's competitors in the finals- King Jebo (GoL), Percival (GoL), Don the Dragon (RKoS), Injun Joe, and Xon Xorthae (DB4).
Spectators are more than welcome. Come cheer on your friends and guildmates. |

GoL Regatta-Saturday January 20th, 2006
Starting at 9:30 PM EST
1. Every contestant will recieve one boat.
2. The race will begin at the GOL Peninsula when GM Percival calls
start.
3. Each contestant much then race by boat to the dock in front of the
fire dungeon entrance on Serpents Hold Isle.
A. You must stay in your boat and only use the boat to
transport yourself.
B. No recalling or movement by land until you reach the dock.
C. Maps are allowed.
D. UOAM is NOT allowed.
4. Once on dock disembark and retrieve the jewel from the chest.
5. Race back to the starting point at the GOL Peninsula and present
the Jewel to Percival.
A. Once again the boat must be your only mode of
transportation.
B. NO recalling or movement by land until you reach the GoL
Peninsula.
C. Maps are allowed.
D. UOAM is NOT allowed.

The first round of our Fight Night Championships began Friday the 13th. So far King Jebo (GoL), Don the Dragon (RKoS), Injun Joe, and Percival (GoL) have proven victorious in their first matches. There are still a few fights left. If you qualified for the tournament but could not make it on friday there is still time for you to arrange a fight. Please contact Percival @ 12180021 or Anna Celeste @ 51-714-010 to arrange a fight. All first round fights must be completed by 11:59 pm of Thursday January 19th. |

January 13th, 2006 at the GoL Felucca Tower@9pm
1. Fights will be one on one. The winner of each fight will advance to the next round. Fighters must wait until they are told to fight to cast spells/begin attacks. Buffing will be allowed beforehand, but shapeshifting (lich form, beast form, etc…) must be cast after the fight begins.
2. No pets or summons allowed.
3. Fighters may wear any sort of armor or use any weapon. They may wear whatever jewelry they choose. Potions, bandages, spirit speak, smoke bombs, poison darts and heal spells are allowed. You may fight with any kind of character you choose!
4. Opponents will be drawn randomly. Fighters must be ready to fight when they are called, or they will be disqualified. Fighters must not arrive more than 10 minutes late, or they will be disqualified.
5. After one fighter dies, the other must leave the ring immediately. There will be no looting. No one may enter the ring other than the two fighters and the referee.
6. All contestants and spectators must maintain appropriate behavior for this event. Anyone not following rules or doing what they are asked to do will be banned. Fighters will sit on the second floor around the ring. Spectators will sit on the third floor - you’ll have a great view!
7. No hiding for more than 15 seconds at a time or leaving the ring.
8. We reserve the right to change any/all rules at any time.
If you cannot make it for your fight tonight you will have the opportunity to fight other opponents who could not make it during the week leading up to the championship round. A GoL judge will be appointed once you have made the proper notifications over icq with Anna Celeste or Percival (12180021).

After the 9pm guild meeting on December 10th we will be holding a special event---Manhunt! GoL members will try to seek and destroy King Jebo and Percival in the city of Trammel Jhelom. These events are usually very exciting. Make it out if you can. |

Getting there at 8:45 will guarantee you thechance to fight. Once again no griefers or pks will be allowed at the event. We reserve the right to turn away or ban any contestant we feel might do harm to other players present. The rules for the evening are as follows....

PS. Reds ARE allowed. We do not consider Reds who kill blue griefers, spys, healers etc to be true pks. We reserve that term for the actual bad guys.

As the images and reports of the true gravity of the situation in New Orleans flow in we can only watch with horror and dismay as events unfold. The situation is dire. Our thoughts and prayers are with those people and their families right now.
If you want to help or can help in anyway please look to your local charity organizations. National charities like the American Red Cross can also use your help and the donation is doable online. Here is a link to the main page http://www.redcross.org/ The refugees also might need supplies such as blankets and clothing. If there is anything you can spare it might be a good time to look toward your local charities.

GoL will host its second monthly wagering event at the home of Sir Al, the Mayor of GoL city. Gates will be provided from GoL North Tower and the West Bank in Tram Britain.
JULY 17TH DUNGEON CRAWL! Hosted by GoL's Warriors of Justice Squad
Sunday July 17th at 8:30 PM GoL will be hosting a dungeon crawl through Trammel and possibly Felucca. All honorable players are welcome to attend. We will gather on top of the GoL North Tower in Trammel and will hope to hit more than a few dungeons. If you are looking for a guild or just want to join in the event please feel free to attend.

On the evening of Saturday the 23rd GoL will march through the cities of Britain and Luna. We will then be hosting a Bear Fighting Tournament and Casino Room at the Guardian City at 10pm EST. Dearest Guardians:
I fear I have grim news this day, dear Guardians. I was awakened before dawn this morning by our distinguished Mayor, Pheng Shui. It appears that Kreal's Evil Spellbook has been stolen from our city museum! This important artifact was given to the Guardians of Light for safe keeping by Lord British himself on that fateful night when GoL slayed Kreal in our own front courtyard. From what our dear Mayor could gather in his investigation, those evil Guardian City Spawn are the ones who stole it! Rumor has it that there will be an exchange between the GCS and the Dark Empire tomorrow evening at the 9th hour on the roof of our GoL Felucca Tower. The greedy GCS are getting a mere 50,000 gold pieces for this guarded item. Lord British left this Evil Spellbook in our hands thinking it would never fall to evil again. We must get it back or the future of our lands could be shaken! We cannot fail Lord British nor those innocents who will surely suffer from it's evil powers!
I implore each Guardian to come to the Felucca tower tomorrow evening and fight for possession of the Blood Stained spellbook of Kreal so that it may be returned to our museum vault!
Lord BaBa, we will surely need the strength of the forces of our Honor Guard to protect our leaders and members as we face the evil forces of the Guardian City Spawn and the Dark Empire.
Be on alert, dear Guardians...the fate of these lands rest on thee this day, but alas, good will prevail!

The event of the Summer 2002!!
Guardians of Light Player vs. Player Ladder
Compete for your spot at this summer-long event to determine who the best PvPer on the Catskills Shard is!
Judges will view the fights as you challenge each rung on the ladder and skillfully climb your way to the top. Watch your competition and challenge them on our website, specially designed for this event.
Prizes begin with 1 million gold pieces in the pot; the entrance fee per person is 25 thousand gold pieces. This gold will be put into the pot as well. Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 pvpers on the shard.

Guardian City Grand Opening!
Attention all fellow Britannians!
The Mayor of Guardian City welcomes you all to the Guardian City Grand Opening!
This SHARDWIDE event will be come and go!
Date: Sunday, October 14th
Time: 4pm to 7pm est

A brief opening ceremony where keys to the city will be presented to our Guild Masters and our allied guild’s Guild Masters.

Craftpersons will make any item: Armor, leather goods, house add-ons, tinker items, bows and wood items FOR FREE WHILE YOU WAIT!
Bring your raw materials or buy them at npc prices from our vendors. Every crafts person imaginable will be available to make anything you wish. Books with lists of items and materials needed will be on hand so you will know what materials are needed.
