GoL Fight Night Championship-Friday January 20th, 9PM EST @ the GoL Felucca Tower. Come see the exciting conclusion to our first ever Fight Night Championships, which has thus far pitted past champions of our past fight nights against each other.

The first round of our Fight Night Championships began Friday the 13th. So far King Jebo (GoL), Don the Dragon (RKoS), Injun Joe, and Percival (GoL) have proven victorious in their first matches. There are still a few fights left. If you qualified for the tournament but could not make it on friday there is still time for you to arrange a fight. Please contact Percival @ 12180021 or Anna Celeste @ 51-714-010 to arrange a fight. All first round fights must be completed by 11:59 pm of Thursday January 19th. |

OPEN FIGHT NIGHT will be held in the GoL Felucca Tower on December 9th at 8:45 PM est. Please come early as once the fights begin at 9pm entrance to the competition will be locked. Getting there at 8:45 will guarantee you thechance to fight. Once again no griefers or pks will be allowed at the event. We reserve the right to turn away or ban any contestant we feel might do harm to other players present. The rules for the evening are as follows....
1. Fights will be one on one. The winner of each fight will advance to the next round. Fighters must wait until they are told to fight to cast spells/begin attacks. Buffing will be allowed beforehand, but shapeshifting (lich form, beast form, etc…) must be cast after the fight begins.
2. No pets or summons allowed.
3. Fighters may wear any sort of armor or use any weapon. They may wear whatever jewelry they choose. Potions, bandages, spirit speak, smoke bombs, poison darts and heal spells are allowed. You may fight with any kind of character you choose!
4. Opponents will be drawn randomly. Fighters must be ready to fight when they are called, or they will be disqualified. Fighters must not arrive more than 10 minutes late, or they will be disqualified.
5. After one fighter dies, the other must leave the ring immediately. There will be no looting. No one may enter the ring other than the two fighters and the referee.
6. All contestants and spectators must maintain appropriate behavior for this event. Anyone not following rules or doing what they are asked to do will be banned. Fighters will sit on the second floor around the ring. Spectators will sit on the third floor - you’ll have a great view!
7. No hiding for more than 15 seconds at a time or leaving the ring.
8. We reserve the right to change any/all rules at any time.
We look forward to seeing you there. GoL Felucca city is located Southwest ofTrinsic. Gates will be provided from Luna Bank. The prize purse is 1.2 million gp. 600K to the winner, 400k to second place, and 200k to third.
For anyone who wishes to qualify for the upcoming Fight Night Championships is January winning this fight night would qualify you. More information to come on that soon.
PS. Reds ARE allowed. We do not consider Reds who kill blue griefers, spys, healers etc to be true pks. We reserve that term for the actual bad guys.

As the images and reports of the true gravity of the situation in New Orleans flow in we can only watch with horror and dismay as events unfold. The situation is dire. Our thoughts and prayers are with those people and their families right now.
If you want to help or can help in anyway please look to your local charity organizations. National charities like the American Red Cross can also use your help and the donation is doable online. Here is a link to the main page http://www.redcross.org/ The refugees also might need supplies such as blankets and clothing. If there is anything you can spare it might be a good time to look toward your local charities.

August 28th DUNGEON CRAWL! Hosted by GoL's Warriors of Justice Squad
Sunday August 28th at 8:30 PM GoL will be hosting a dungeon crawl through Trammel and possibly Felucca. All honorable players are welcome to attend. GoL will host its second monthly wagering event at the home of Sir Al, the Mayor of GoL city. On the evening of Saturday the 23rd GoL will march through the cities of Britain and Luna. We will then be hosting a Bear Fighting Tournament and Casino Room at the Guardian City at 10pm EST. The temporary News & Teamspeak Server has been officially replaced by the new server, and is up & running. In theory, you should be able to continue using this server the same way as you did with the temporary server, but we are now accepting News & Mail requests.
Please log into the members only section, and under News & Mail, select the "Request Access" option. It is very important that you do this to insure your continued access to the server.
Teamspeak continues to be up & running, if for some reason your old login name & password fail, just create a new account, and you should be fine.
E-Mail is now available, YourName@Guardians-of-light.com may be setup for your own use.

Vigil at Sacrifice Shrine Trammel Moon, Catskills
September 11, 2002 12:00a.m. until September 12, 2002 12:am est.
The Guardians of Light and Allies would like to host a Vigil at Sacrifice Shrine Catskills Trammel in remembrance of the events of September 11th 2001, in honor of those who died, their families and the fire fighters and policeman who sacrificed so much for others. We would also like to honor the armed forces who have fought for our freedom and those reserves who are always ready to serve our country. We need to remember our nation's and allied nation's leaders at this time as well, that they will have the wisdom and discernment to make the decisions to allow us to continue in the freedom we hold so dear. Please come to the shrine anytime during the 24 hour period and bring a candle to stand in silence and reflection. We will have a brief memorial ceremony at 9pm edt.

It has been four years since our little band of founders formed, and each and every one of them has been a treasure. The friendships that have been forged are treasures and gifts beyond any other that I might receive.

My friends, I cannot describe the horror that we have all experienced today. This is a truly sad day for us all. Countless lives have been needlessly affected. Friends of our guild have been killed or injured. Our brave soldiers are being called to duty to defend what is just and honorable.
In an effort to show our respect and support for those afflicted, the Guardians of Light will be requesting the following.
- This Saturday night, we will be holding a vigil at the shrine of compassion beginning at 9 PM.
- Effective immediately, all Guardians of Light will don a black cape in mourning.
- We request that everyone please cease in all Player vs. Player combat for the next few days. We at least, can put down the “Virtual Sword”

| Guardian City Shardwide Grand Opening Event |

Guardian City Grand Opening
Our city grand opening is at hand!
Here is the date, time, and place.
Date: September 16th
Time: 4pm to 7pm est
Place: Guardian City
There will be a brief opening ceremony at the Town Hall (North tower) where keys to the city will be presented to our GMs and our allied guild’s GMs.
Then the fun begins as we hold an afternoon of festivities. These events will run simultaneously and include a Tavern of Chance (casino), and a Regatta (boat race). We had initially thought each squad would host an event but then that used up all of our crafts persons so now each corps will sponsor an event. The prizes for the events will be furnished by each corps and given to the winner at the time it is won. We will hold a brief ending ceremony announcing the winners (they do not have to attend the ceremony). Please get with KoL if you are in first corps and GWoJ if you are in second corps to please help them with these events.
We will also have craftsmen set up on our tower roof for the duration of the afternoon and we will make any item, ie...armor, leather, addons, wooden items, etc for free if the person brings their own raw materials. If they do not have the materials, we will have vendors with raw materials on them at shop vendor prices for our guests to purchase and give to the craftsman for use. The whole set up will be very easy for the patron, as we will have books listing what materials are needed for each item.
The event will be come and go and will be a SHARDWIDE event. So we have a chance to shine!
In order for this event to be a success, I will need the full support of leadership and all members, if at all possible.

I will let everyone know when the advertisement goes up on stratics and I will be posting this message and the stratics ad on the public board. I will also ask Pancho Villa to post the ad to all guilds on Catskills public boards. I can help with this.
